In addition to the music of J. S. Bach, I love to play parlour music and Ragtime pieces from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. I find this music comforting and entertaining, as well as being interesting from an historical perspective. I especially love how it reminds me of a time when most people had a piano in the home!
